About the Role:

The Emergency Response Specialist will work from a local fire station, undertaking duties that include community fire safety work, attending emergencies, and educating the public on fire prevention and safety.

Attendance at incidents, training sessions, and community activities is paid.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you need to be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and have availability across weekdays and weekends.

Essential Requirements:

  • A valid NSW driver's license
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
  • Living and/or working within a reasonable distance of the fire station

Ongoing training is provided in all aspects of firefighting, including basic life support and community engagement skills.

Minimum Availability and Attendance Requirements:

  • At least 33% of all calls over six months
  • A minimum of 80% of all calls received by the brigade in any four-week period
  • No less than 75% drill attendance
