Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in responding to emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness, and contributing to the upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.

  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses
  • Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment
  • Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
  • Ability to attend 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours, or 30% of calls as a shift worker or have non-routine hours
  • Ability to attend 75% of regular drill and training sessions
