Job Overview

Agricultural Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Senior Grain Procurement Strategist to lead the development and execution of our commodity procurement strategy. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the continuous supply of feedstock to our crush plant and refinery operations.

About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in grain trading, sales, and accumulation. Your tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce or Agricultural Economics/Ag Science will be essential in this role.

The Role

In this senior position, you will be responsible for:

  • Negotiating and securing mutually beneficial agreements on pricing to achieve target crush margins.
  • Driving efficiencies in storage and transport (own or third-party).
  • Overseeing the identification and capture of savings in seed and grain procurement and logistics.
  • Actively communicating with relevant teams to understand the supply and internal demand for seed and grain.
  • Maintaining consistent food safety, non-GMO Standard, and QA compliance, recommending improvements where necessary.
  • Managing your team to ensure business performance and achievement of individual and team goals.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package in the range of $120,000 - $180,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
