About the Opportunity:

Boral is seeking an experienced Logistics Procurement Strategist to join our National Procurement Team and contribute to our Logistics Performance Improvement Program.

About the Role:

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract focused on working with internal stakeholders to assess, align, and recommend negotiation strategies with logistics suppliers. Your day will involve recommending, assessing, and aligning negotiation strategies; negotiating rates with logistics suppliers in conjunction with the Logistics Manager; tracking, auditing, and maintaining a program of price reviews, contract renewals, and Go-to-Market plans; ongoing supplier and contract management including rate review cycles, KPIs, and SLAs; validating and ensuring legal and contractual obligations are met as per local and national legislations; recommending commercial terms and conditions in new contracts, negotiating, and updating contracts; providing tactical and strategic advice related to the procurement of logistics services and conducting supplier search, shortlisting, tendering, and contract negotiation; and organizing, executing, and managing Steerco and working group meetings.

About You:

We are looking for someone with relevant logistics procurement experience in a large national organization working with multiple stakeholders; highly analytical and competent at using analytical tools to interpret information and provide insights/recommendations; good knowledge in procurement processes and techniques; and a drive for results and ability to make tough value-based decisions.
