Job Title: Principal Information Management Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Information Management Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Strategy and Transformation Unit, you will play a critical role in building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing strategic advice on information management issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead key activities to mature information management capability across the organisation
  • Develop and maintain a commitment to quality customer service by providing advice on the development, design, and operation of contemporary information management systems
  • Provide authoritative advice to IM practitioners to solve IM problems and actively contribute to communities of practice
  • Build strategic relationships with stakeholders and customers and act as a trusted advisor
  • Consult and participate in the development and implementation of supporting IM tools such as metadata standards, classification and labelling, user access controls, information sharing protocols, and other necessary frameworks
Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of current and emerging Information Management trends, standards, and practices
  • Establishes and maintains co-operative working relationships with co-workers and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders to raise departmental-wide awareness and adoption of IM standards
  • Analyses information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the problem or objective
  • Demonstrated change management, leadership, and facilitation skills to grow and build engagement with IM practices
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice, oral and written, to senior officers on contemporary information management and technology issues
