About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Information Officer to join our team in Queensland Government. As an Information Officer, you will play a key role in championing enterprise-wide efficient and effective recordkeeping and information management practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with high levels of customer service.
  • Support the Manager of Information, ICT Governance and Risk in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the way the department manages and secures its information.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in the lifecycle management of work-related information, data, and records through creation, use, and retention/disposal stages.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their information and recordkeeping issues, needs, and business processes and provide best practice advice.
  • Respond to client requests/enquiries relating to information, records management, or the use of the department's e DRMS in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and monitoring of information and recordkeeping management procedures, work instructions, and knowledge articles.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training and awareness modules, or one-on-one information sessions, as they relate to information management and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and report any security breaches.
  • Utilise effective self-management skills, including time management, identification, and prioritisation of critical tasks, and seeking guidance when required.
  • Contribute to other activities and work packages across IIG&R and more broadly across ITS as required to help reach deadlines, agreed outcomes, and deliverables.
