Cultural Facilitator Job DescriptionAbout the Role:

The Cultural Facilitator will play a crucial role in delivering culturally authentic children's stories to support literacy and inclusion across Australia.

  • Liaise with Indigenous communities to support the publication of their stories
  • Provide cultural advising on manuscript texts and illustrations
  • Work with the Our Yarning Coordinator to deliver cultural training to educators

This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of thousands of children in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the production of culturally authentic children's stories
  • Support learning, assessment, and advocacy of Our Yarning
  • Contribute to the operational processes of the initiative
Requirements:
  • Cultural competence and respect
  • Effective communication skills in community settings
  • Ability to collaborate and build authentic relationships
  • Expert facilitation and mediation skills
