Subsurface Mining Expert

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in subsurface mining, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

About the Role:

This position involves designing effective drilling and blasting plans, supporting production scheduling, and contributing to project delivery.

  • Develops drill and blast designs with a high emphasis on safety
  • Captures and reports daily production data
  • Assists with scheduling and coordination of mining activities
  • Prepares and communicates weekly and 13-week schedules
  • Leads and supports project work and management
  • Fosters a positive and productive work culture
  • Collaborates with development and production teams to meet objectives
  • Drives continuous improvement in safety and reliability

Roster & Location:

A FIFO (fly-in/fly-out) arrangement is available from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns. Local applicants from Cloncurry and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply, with bus transport available.

An 8 days on/6 days off permanent roster applies.

About You:

Applicants should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum two years' experience in mining engineering
  • Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of underground metalliferous mining
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Deswik
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
