As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering care across various pharmacy services.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician/Assistant in a permanent full-time capacity.

The ideal candidate will have experience dispensing medication in an Australian based pharmacy and be committed to providing patient-centred care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications
  • Counsel patients on over-the-counter medicines
  • Learn to mix cancer therapies in a drug safety cabinet or using a closed-system safety device
  • Assist with customer and clinic queries
  • Provide administrative duties and support
  • Process orders and manage inventory

Working Conditions:

The pharmacy operates weekdays from 6:30am to 5:30pm, with four technician roles to rotate through every two weeks, with varying start times.

Requirements:

  • Be committed to providing patient-centred care
  • Have experience dispensing medication in an Australian based pharmacy
  • Be able to address patient needs with confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism
  • Have a high attention to detail
  • The ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Requirements:

  • Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
  • Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
