Job Role: HVAC Refrigeration Technician

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced systems across various locations in Queensland.

About the Job:

  • HVAC refrigeration technicians are in high demand, and this position is no exception.
  • You will service and repair a variety of HVAC systems, diagnose faults and problems, and perform preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair split systems, in-ceiling/under-ceiling cassettes, DX systems, chillers, and central plant.
  • Diagnose faults and problems, perform preventative maintenance, and provide detailed reporting on work completed.
  • Maintain equipment across commercial, retail, and occasionally residential/light commercial projects.
  • Install new equipment and components as required.
  • Quoting of repair works and small unit changes; liaise with customers to understand needs and provide expert guidance.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with safe work method statements; adhere to regulatory and company standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Formal qualifications in HVAC, air conditioning, or refrigeration (e.g., Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) or equivalent trade qualification.
  • QLD Restricted Electrical License (minimum).
  • Current driver's license.
  • Experience as a service/maintenance technician in HVAC; strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent customer service and clear communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; commitment to safety and proactive risk management.
