Job Title: Quality and Education Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Aged Care Nurse to take on a key leadership role within our facility. The successful candidate will provide support, direction and oversight of best practice clinical care to ensure compliance with all relevant standards.

The Role

  • Provide expert guidance and mentoring to the on-site clinical team to enhance their skills and knowledge.

You will be responsible for identifying site-specific risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. Effective communication and collaboration with the facility is crucial in determining the best outcomes for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate reviews, audits and gap analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement necessary changes with the team to maintain compliance.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to upskill staff.
  • Communicate effectively with the facility to determine best outcomes for success.
  • Provide educational and mentoring support to the on-site clinical team.

About You

  • Aged Care Nurse with a valid DIV 1 registration and current AHPRA qualifications.
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (Desirable)
  • Previous experience working in aged care education roles or management roles.
  • Exceptional expertise in clinical governance, quality assurance, and auditing.
  • Talent for mentoring and training others to ensure all staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication with colleagues, residents, and carers.

Requirements

  • Proof of flu and COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with the current public health directive for aged care facilities.
  • A current police check clearance to ensure the safety and security of our residents and staff.
