Senior Accountant Position

BDO Australia's Senior Accountants play a crucial role in empowering our clients to achieve their business objectives. Within the Business Services division, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services to emerging businesses, fast-growing corporate groups, and high-net worth individuals.

About the Role:
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting, and financial reporting standards across various industries.
  • Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, and high-net worth individuals.
  • Perform tax planning tasks and provide advice on business operations and regulatory matters.
  • Provide a range of business and tax advisory services, including business structuring, improvement, and growth advisory.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with clients, managers, and partners regarding queries.
  • Mentor and assist junior staff in their training and development.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a professional services environment and a keen interest in tax and advisory.
  • Relationship building skills to work effectively with various levels and teams across BDO.
  • Demonstrated analytical/problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
  • Interest in or currently completing (or finished) a CA or CPA qualification.
  • Knowledge and use of Advanced Professional Solutions (APS) and/or Xero is desirable.
