We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join our team in championing community investment and driving the annual budget preparation process.

About Your Role
  • Champion Community Investment: You will be responsible for managing vital grants and subsidies programs, ensuring their success and impact.
  • Shape the Future: Drive the annual budget preparation process, contribute your insights to our long-term, 5-year financial strategy, and provide expert financial advice and support to our leaders and managers.
  • Lead and Inspire: Oversee and mentor a talented Finance Officer, fostering their growth while ensuring your team delivers timely, high-quality support.
  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Provide expert financial guidance and support to key decision-makers, ensuring robust financial governance and compliance.
  • Drive Excellence: Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, assist with compelling business cases, and ensure our procurement and risk management practices are second to none.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a natural collaborator and problem-solver, with a flair for making complex financial information clear and accessible. You will thrive in a supportive team environment and be known for your integrity and customer-centric approach.

You will have proven financial management skills, particularly in budget preparation, planning, and reporting. A strong understanding of government accounting standards and financial policies is essential.

A talent for working independently, setting priorities, and finding solutions is required. Experience with financial management systems and high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is also necessary.
