Job Description

The Australian Defence Technologies Academy is a purpose-built facility for Innovation-led Learning and Research. As the Director, you will be responsible for establishing and leading this esteemed institution.

Foster collaboration across defence, industry, government, and academic sectors to drive economic and job-creation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Academy that aligns with its mission and vision.
  • Build a high-performing research culture while driving state-based and local strategies that advance defence innovation, industry engagement, and sovereign capability development.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders to foster cutting-edge research and education.

This is a unique opportunity for a visionary leader to join a dynamic team as we launch Australia's new university for the future. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a collaborative ecosystem across defence, industry, government, and academic sectors - both nationally and internationally.
