Job Title: Data Engineer - GCP

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and building scalable data pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform. You will work with structured and unstructured data to enable analytics, reporting, and advanced data science use cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Optimization: Design, build, and optimize data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Composer).
  • Data Analysis and Science: Work with data to drive business insights, reporting, and advanced data science initiatives.
  • Client Collaboration: Partner with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Data Governance and Security: Implement best practices for data governance, security, and monitoring.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the wider data community by sharing knowledge and expertise.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient programming skills in SQL or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services.
  • Familiarity with tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Airflow.
  • Prior experience with personal projects or GitHub repositories.
  • Consulting or client-facing experience is an asset.
