About the Opportunity

Inspecting and maintaining civil assets is a critical function that requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As an Asset Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our infrastructure and delivering high-quality outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of civil assets, including roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.
  • Assess the condition of assets and identify areas for maintenance or repair.
  • Raise work orders to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to scope and plan maintenance works.
  • Comply with all contract requirements regarding scheduled inspections.
  • Develop and implement inspection plans to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Travel within the region and work outside normal working hours as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in maintenance or construction of civil assets.
  • Certificate IV in Civil Construction is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and quantify asset data from construction drawings and plans.
  • Demonstrated written communication skills, including spreadsheet and word processing abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in inspection and condition assessment of civil assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member without supervision and meet deadlines.
