Document Examiner

As a Forensic Officer, you will be working in the Document Examination Unit which provides a range of forensic document examination services.
Key Responsibilities- Exhibit handling and case processing
- Initial examinations under direction and supervision from caseworkers
- Presentation of factual evidence in Courts of Law
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in scientific/technical examinations, operation and maintenance of scientific instrumentation, and administrative skills including record keeping.
The role requires strong communication skills with an emphasis on imparting specialist knowledge and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, you will be required to work autonomously and/or in a team environment and manage workloads to meet defined targets and deadlines.
Required Skills- Scientific/technical examinations following established procedures
- Administrative skills including record keeping and data entry
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and/or in a team environment
You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in preparing reports and providing results on technical matters relevant to your work area.
