We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team in ensuring the safety and compliance of our community's buildings.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of building regulations, construction methodology, and Australian standards.
Key responsibilities include examining plans, specifications, and documents lodged by applicants for various building permits, ensuring essential service inspections are carried out, and providing accurate technical advice to rate payers and builders.
Additionally, the role involves contributing to the development, mentoring, and support of staff within the team.
Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or equivalent, registration as a Building Surveyor Limited with the Victorian Building Authority, and registration as a Building Inspector with the same authority.
- Examine plans, specifications, and documents lodged by applicants for various building permits
- Ensure that essential service inspections are carried out and reports prepared
- Provide accurate technical advice to rate payers and builders on building matters
