Job Title: Environmental Response Coordinator

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Team Leader, you will leverage your initiative within established standard operating procedures to prioritise workflow, ensuring seamless delivery of our central triage function. Managing the dispatch process for incident and emergency response, aligned with our strategic priorities to safeguard Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Team Leader, deliver the central triage and dispatch function for incoming reports, monitoring and assessing incoming notifications, and ensuring adequate information is obtained to assess risk to the environment and human health.
  • Perform key roles in emergency and incident response, including out-of-hours work as required.
  • Contribute to a consistent and efficient approach to incident and emergency triage and dispatch, including the establishment and implementation of quality control systems, driving continuous improvement, and developing procedures and processes.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of emergency and incident response capability across our organisation, including the implementation of our emergency management rostering system.
Requirements
  • Experience in incident and emergency management is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks, prioritise tasks, monitor workflow, and contribute to project/program effectiveness evaluation; use initiative to identify, communicate, and address delivery risks and opportunities to improve organisational outcomes.
  • Proven expertise in utilising CRM systems, focusing on Microsoft Dynamics, to effectively manage and analyse customer interactions and data.
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and communicate effectively with the Victorian public; clear communication with fellow code regulators within the team.
  • Proven ability to work as an effective member of a cohesive team, with a demonstrated commitment to delivering the highest organisational priorities; proven capability to build and sustain enduring relationships to facilitate collaborative outcome delivery and goal achievement.
