About the Role

Lead and oversee a small team at the EPA, specializing in contaminated land regulation in Western Metropolitan Melbourne Region. Drive education, compliance monitoring, inspections, and enforcement actions, focusing on preventative measures aligned with critical programs.

  • Lead a team to uphold high standards of performance and accountability in environmental protection.
  • Contribute to initiatives like the Contaminated Land Program and Incident Management System.
  • Drive investigations and compliance programs aligned with regulatory goals.
  • Partner with stakeholders to enhance environmental and public health outcomes.
  • Manage administrative tasks to meet regulatory objectives, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in leadership, ideally in environmental regulation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of frontline regulatory operations and government legislation.
  • Proven track record of building and sustaining relationships for collaborative delivery of outcomes.
  • Proficiency in managing contaminated land and landfills, translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
