Workplace Health and Safety Manager

The Workplace Health and Safety Manager will lead the way in ensuring a safe working environment for staff and guests.

  • Lead the WHS function and team, implementing strategies and business planning.
  • Communicate clearly to implement the WHS strategy and planning within the team and broader organisation.
  • Monitor and review performance against health and safety key performance indicators.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting health, safety, and injury management.
  • Develop systems empowering employees to enhance workplace health and safety through participation in committees, hazard identification, and adoption of safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities:

The Workplace Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and maintaining a culture of workplace health and safety across the organisation.
  • Leading a team of WHS professionals to ensure effective implementation of WHS policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement WHS strategies that align with organisational goals.
  • Monitoring and reviewing WHS performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Providing guidance and support to employees on WHS matters.
Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and solutions focus.
  • Calm under pressure with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple programs of work within legislative frameworks.
  • Ability to travel and work statewide as required.
  • Demonstrated depth of experience in WHS Management and relevant qualifications.
