Leadership Role in Investment Tax Strategy

As a senior professional, you will play a key role in shaping the company's investment tax strategy and ensuring tax-informed decision-making across domestic and international transactions.

  • Provide expert tax advice on investment structures, due diligence, portfolio management, and complex compliance across asset classes (infrastructure, property, private equity, and credit).
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders across investments, legal, and risk.
  • Monitor legislative changes and assess any potential impact to the fund's investments and contribute to industry submissions and internal readiness.
  • Coach and develop team members while driving continuous improvement and innovation in the investment tax function.
  • Lead the delivery of tax research, policy development, and regulatory engagement aligned with the company's tax strategy.

This is a leadership role with real impact - protecting member outcomes and ensuring investments are within the company's tax risk appetite.

Requirements
  • Deep expertise in investment tax, with experience across deals, international structures, and superannuation or funds management.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge (Australian and foreign), with the ability to deliver clear, actionable advice.
  • Skilled communicator and negotiator, confident engaging with senior stakeholders and external advisors.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and complex deliverables in a high-performance environment.
  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce or law, with postgraduate law or accounting credentials highly regarded.
  • Ability to balance risk and make informed decisions.
