Home Support Assistant

As an Unqualified Home Care Worker, you'll be part of a dedicated team based at St James Retirement Home in Townsville.
Responsibilities:- Cleaning, meal preparation and housekeeping to keep homes safe and welcoming.
- Available from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
- Providing domestic support, including laundry, cooking, cleaning, and household tasks.
- Offering friendly social support and transport to appointments, shopping or community outings.
- Observing and reporting changes, ensuring care plans are up to date, keeping accurate records, and reporting health changes to our team.
- A current Senior First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- A current driver's license.
- A comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for work purposes (Reimbursement of $0.96 per KM is provided for use of own vehicle).
- Competent in the use of a Smartphone.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
