Aboriginal Health Care Leader

 

Lead a multidisciplinary team in the Aboriginal Child and Family Service, responsible for delivering culturally safe and effective healthcare to vulnerable families.

 

The ideal candidate will have postgraduate qualifications in health or social science, and experience managing complex teams and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Aboriginal Child and Family Service team to improve access to healthcare services for Aboriginal families
  • Establishing and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support the service's goals
  • Embedding culture in practice and ensuring cultural integrity within clinical governance
  • Providing leadership and guidance to team members to ensure delivery of high-quality care
  • Managing resources effectively to achieve service goals

 

Requirements include:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in health or social science
  • Relevant work experience in healthcare, preferably in an Aboriginal health context
  • A commitment to embedding culture in practice and upholding cultural integrity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
