Enterprise Strategy Leader

The Waters Corporation's Executive Committee (EC) relies on the Strategy & Transformation group to develop and execute its enterprise strategy. This team drives critical initiatives, building capabilities across all functions and geographies, and plays key roles in mergers and acquisitions.

You will lead our Strategic Planning process, aligning strategy, business unit and functional resources across the company to deliver a robust plan for the future. You will collaborate with EC members and other senior leaders on their most important initiatives.

This role will shape and manage a project portfolio, leading internal, external, and seconded team members to develop, prioritize, lead, and execute enterprise-wide initiatives that deliver improved business capabilities and performance.


Duties:
  • Strategic Planning: Lead the annual Strategic Planning process, challenging existing assumptions and striving for excellence
    • Collaborate with business and function leaders through the matrixed organization to define targets and meaningful KPIs
    • Foster workshops and prioritization exercises, providing constructive criticism and independent analysis
  • Strategic Projects: Lead cross-functional teams to successful outcomes with clear impact
    • Prioritize and prepare recommendations for strategic projects defined by the CEO and Executive Committee
    • Present updates to leadership
  • Support critical initiatives as agreed by leadership, collaborating with Strategy & Transformation colleagues

Requirements:
  • An advanced degree is highly preferred (PhD, MD, MBA)
  • A consulting background is strongly recommended, with at least 1 year of multi-project management experience
  • Prior experience in investment banking, private equity or corporate finance is preferred
  • Prior experience in life sciences tools, diagnostics, med device, biopharma or other relevant industries is preferred
  • Proven ability to efficiently lead multiple, complex projects in a matrixed environment with a high degree of independence in large organizations
