Diverse Paediatric Occupational Therapist Role

This role offers a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment where you'll help children overcome challenges related to sensory-motor, biomechanical, cognitive/perceptual, and psychosocial development, supporting independence and overall wellbeing.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide comprehensive assessments and interventions tailored to each child's unique needs and developmental goals. You will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to deliver therapy that is holistic, context-sensitive, and responsive to real-world environments.
The successful candidate will have passion for working with children and families to support functional development and wellbeing. They will also possess strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills, with the ability to tailor interventions to individual needs.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions tailored to each child's unique needs and developmental goals.
- Working closely with families, carers, and other professionals to deliver therapy that is holistic, context-sensitive, and responsive to real-world environments.
- Contribute to service development through quality improvement initiatives and clinical research, helping shape how care is delivered into the future.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Passion for working with children and families to support functional development and wellbeing.
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills, with the ability to tailor interventions to individual needs.
- Effective communication skills, working collaboratively with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Commitment to delivering holistic, evidence-based care across clinic, home, and school settings.
- Motivation to engage in regular professional supervision and ongoing professional development.
