Are you a compassionate professional seeking to make a real difference in the lives of rural carers? We are on the hunt for a dedicated Carer Support Officer or Counsellor to join our dynamic team in Mount Isa.

As a key member of our Carers Gateway Team, you will be responsible for empowering unpaid carers through emotional support and tailored coaching. This is an opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, set your own schedule, and witness the tangible impact of your work as you enable rural communities to live and receive high-quality holistic care.

">Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with relevant community sector experience and qualifications, including:

  • A Certificate IV in Community Development or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Australian Counselling Association (ACA), or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
  • Current QLDBlue and NDIS Worker Screening or eligibility to obtain.
  • Current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's License and the right to live and work in Australia.
