About the Role

Economic Development Queensland is seeking a highly skilled Business Partnering Manager to join its Business Operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of EDQ's asset portfolio, budget, forecasting, cash management, financial modelling and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director Business Partnering, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director Business Operations with financial advice, analysis and information to deliver the long-term financial strategy with a focus on financial outcomes for EDQ.
  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of the annual budget process, ensuring the process accurately captures issues and strategies advanced by the business, including negotiations with central agencies on budgetary and related financial matters.
  • Lead the input, review and analysis of the EDQ budget model along with presenting the consolidated financial forecasts for EDQ.
  • Lead the preparation of the finance report to the Economic Development Board and prepare reports to the EDQ Investment Committee and Audit, Risk and Performance Committee.
  • Critically assess project feasibilities, business cases, development projects and infrastructure programs.
  • Undertake analysis and monitoring of EDQ's asset portfolio, including determining benchmark returns and identifying strategies for efficient long-term investment and risk allocation.
  • Provide commercial advice on proposed transaction structures and delivery approach.
  • Provide strategic financial and operational advice to support the diverse business objectives of EDQ.
  • Provide analytical reports regarding financial management for EDQ projects.
