Key Responsibilities- Financial Advice and Analysis: Provide financial advice and analysis to support the development and implementation of the Queensland Government's financial strategy, with a focus on achieving financial outcomes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate the development and monitoring of the annual budget process, ensuring that it accurately captures business issues and strategies advanced by the business.
- Financial Modeling and Reporting: Lead the input, review, and analysis of the Queensland Government's budget model, and present consolidated financial forecasts to stakeholders.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare financial reports for the Economic Development Board, the EDQ Investment Committee, and the Audit, Risk, and Performance Committee.
- Project Feasibility and Business Case Development: Critically assess project feasibilities, business cases, development projects, and infrastructure programs to ensure that they align with the Queensland Government's financial strategy.
- Asset Portfolio Management: Analyze and monitor the Queensland Government's asset portfolio, including determining benchmark returns and identifying strategies for efficient long-term investment and risk allocation.
- Commercial Advice: Provide commercial advice on proposed transaction structures and delivery approaches to support the Queensland Government's business objectives.
- Financial Services: Manage and coordinate the provision of effective financial services, including budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and analysis across Queensland Government projects and programs.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare material for advice, reports, briefing notes, board papers, submissions, and funding proposals to support the Queensland Government's business objectives.
