We are seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Lead to provide leadership in developing, implementing and ensuring quality across an upcoming project.

This opportunity offers longevity, with the project ongoing for at least 18 months. You will have the chance to develop your career with a dynamic and growing company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the project's quality management system.
  • Supervise and ensure alignment between QA/QC Coordinators.
  • Solve QA/QC queries according to relevant specifications, standards, management plans, procedures, etc., and escalate quality concerns to the QA/QC Manager.
  • Raise and act upon Non-Conformance Reports.
  • Conduct pre-start meetings for the QA/QC Team.
  • Prepare and present PowerPoint presentations to the workforce.
  • Assist the QA/QC Manager in developing procedures, management plans, ITPs, methodology statements.
  • Maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welder Qualification registers.
  • Oversee the work of QA/QC Coordinators to ensure expectations are met.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to QA/QC Coordinators.
  • Prepare and maintain various registers of reports and records.
Requirements:
  • Hold CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certificate or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years' industry experience in a QA/QC role, particularly in construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of AS/NZS 1554.1, AS 4037, AS 4041, AS 4458, AS 3992.
  • Demonstrate high autonomy with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Show problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Perth-based candidate required.
