About the Role

The YMCA Brisbane is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Program Manager to join our team at the Shailer Park State School. As a key member of our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs that meet the needs of children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality programs that align with the National Quality Framework 'My Time Our Place' and Wooloowin State School's educational principles.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the OSHC service, including staffing, rostering, and compliance with policy.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, families, and the school community to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care, adhering to the YMCA's safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Completed (or close to completing) a relevant qualification in Childcare or Teaching (minimum Diploma of Children's Services).
  • Sound experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A valid First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain them.
  • A current Blue Card, or willingness to obtain one.
