Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Educational Leader to join our team at YMCA Shailer Park Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). As the Educational Leader, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the education program, promoting children's well-being, development and learning, and managing a team environment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education. You will possess a comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework, evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning, and leadership theory. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively with families and the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the educational program and assessment with the support of Assistant Coordinator/Coordinator
  • Ensure children's learning and development informs the design of the educational program
  • Liaise effectively with parents, staff and all internal and external stakeholders
  • Make recommendations for improvements to educators' educational programs and practices
  • Mentor and support educators understanding of the educational program and practice
  • Ensure compliance with policy
  • Undertake administrative requirements

About the Service:

YMCA Shailer Park OSHC is a licensed service for 70 children per day, operating from 6:30 am to 8:30 am in the morning and 3pm to 6pm in the afternoon during school terms. We offer a wide range of fun, stimulating and diverse programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings.
