Job Title: Hospitality Liaison Specialist

The ideal candidate will oversee customer well-being, monitor for signs of problematic gambling or alcohol-related issues. This includes building professional relationships with customers and staff, negotiating realistic outcomes to support people to gamble within their means, and providing support to staff in the identification and reporting of gambling-related harm.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring all customers for signs of problematic gambling behaviour and/or alcohol related issues
  • Establishing professional relationships with customers, staff and external services as required
  • Negotiating realistic outcomes to support people to gamble within their means
  • Providing support to staff in the identification and reporting of gambling-related harm
  • Reporting to senior staff and regulators as needed on Host Responsibility activities

You must be able to work independently and have the availability to work a 24x7 rotating roster that includes days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Exceptional negotiation, written and verbal communication skills are essential. A genuine desire to help people change for the better, a warm, empathetic and approachable personality, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality are equally important.

Requirements:
  • Fluency in a second language is advantageous
  • Previous experience in gaming industry, welfare or community service environments will be highly regarded but is not essential
