Director of Mobile Application Engineering

We're seeking a visionary leader to drive the engineering vision for our internal customers. As Associate Director, Mobile Application Engineering, you'll be responsible for establishing and supporting the engineering vision, developing strategies to improve our systems, and defining the chapter's objectives and best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and support the engineering vision for our internal customers.
- Develop and implement strategies that enable the chapter to align to the tools and languages required to improve our systems, optimise operations, and stimulate growth.
- Define the chapter's objectives, best engineering practices, policies, and skill proficiencies.
- Ensure that the delivered solutions conform to the agreed-upon principles and best methodology while aligning with the Chapter Area and Tribe Quarterly Business Review strategic objectives.
- Extensive hands-on experience, particularly in the telco industry, complemented with exposure to leadership, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
- Industry certifications in web languages or tools, integration languages, and/or technical people leadership and coaching.
- Experience in managing teams working on complex products/solutions and capability development projects.
- Strong understanding of IT risk, information security fundamentals, defence-in-depth practices, IT risk assessment fundamentals, and risk management practices.
- Strong analytical, creative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, whilst being proficient in Agile methodologies.
- Direct customer focus with refined communication skills and attention to detail.
- 3 days in the office, 2 days remote – with flexible hours to suit.
