About the Role

The Director of Business Development will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of Cell Therapies, a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) in the field of cell and gene therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence locally and globally.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the biotech industry.
  • Lead efforts to secure new contracts and drive business growth through effective market research and analysis.
  • Develop and refine business development processes and workflows to ensure efficient and effective business operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement a new marketing strategy to drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a business development role within the healthcare or life sciences sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business opportunities from lead to contract.
  • Ability to identify emerging clients and opportunities in the fast-growing biotech space.
  • Experience establishing and refining business development processes and workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and distil highly technical information to plain language.
  • Extensive commercial project and/or alliance management experience with large and small companies.
