Senior Development Manager Job Description

Drive rezoning and major development initiatives from concept through to approval.

  • Rezoning Strategies: Prepare and deliver Planning Proposals and rezoning applications across NSW & VIC.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from acquisition through rezoning approvals, budgets, consultants, and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with councils, government agencies, landowners, and community groups.
  • Risk & Feasibility: Provide insight on planning risks, legislation changes, and development potential.
Key Responsibilities:

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile rezoning and strategic land-use projects shaping communities across NSW & VIC, as well as being part of a collaborative and ambitious team that values initiative and innovation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning, Property Development, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in development with a focus on rezoning and planning approvals.
  • Deep knowledge of NSW planning legislation, frameworks, LEPs & SEPPs.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proven track record of securing complex planning approvals.
