Project Contract Negotiator

The role of a Contracts Specialist is to lead the contracting process across multiple complex work packages.

Job Description

This specialist will develop Invitation to Tenders (ITTs), coordinate bid clarifications, lead evaluations and manage contract negotiations. They will interface directly with the project team to align commercial strategies with technical and schedule requirements. Additionally, they will conduct direct market engagements with key vendors to test the market and gather intelligence.

This specialist will structure and negotiate contracts that mitigate risk, align with project goals and meet local and corporate governance requirements. They will act as the commercial lead during contract execution transition handovers.

Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in contracts & procurement roles, ideally within oil & gas or major infrastructure
  • Proven experience managing the full lifecycle of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contracts for large-scale subsea or offshore projects
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, particularly with tier-one contractors
  • Commercially strategic but operationally hands-on – able to run multiple workstreams independently
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, engineering or related field desirable
