Job Overview

An exciting opportunity exists to join a high growth business, dedicated to keeping workers, patients and students safe and productive.

This role oversees the planning, direction and coordination of all functions within Inbound and Inventory departments, ensuring performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability are consistently met.

The successful candidate will be responsible for workplace health and safety requirements, security of the building and stock, as well as planning the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organizing special requirements for certain stock.

  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of all inbound and inventory team members.
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt of Supplier POs and Internal Company DC to DC Transfer; TOs.
  • Evaluate and implement effective stock take processes with root cause investigation, and solutions provided.
  • Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational policies and procedures, ensuring process improvements are implemented.
  • Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery, including company owned vehicles, and recommend investment in equipment to support operational efficiency and reduce safety risks.
  • Provide technical support where necessary, and coordinate the use of automated and computerized systems.
  • Optimize space and mechanical handling equipment usage, ensuring quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met.
  • Plan the use of human resources, organize recruitment, placement and induction of required staff, establish department structures, delegate tasks and accountabilities, and establish work schedules.
  • Coach, mentor and supervise teams, monitor and evaluate performance, and conduct daily huddles with department team members.
  • Improve and maintain department KPIs by coaching, counselling and disciplining employees.
  • Liaise with senior management, assist in developing strategic plans for operational activity, and implement and manage operational plans.
  • Liaise with Sales & BST on new business opportunities and customer reviews to improve customer experience and net GP.
  • Stay up-to-date with professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Plan future capacity requirements.
  • Comply with legislative requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions, safeguarding warehouse operations and contents, and maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
