Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the infrastructure and real estate projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful commercial delivery of major infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial frameworks, contract management, and financial controls.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to align financial and contractual strategies with project goals.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to analyse and report on commercial performance, providing actionable insights to support decision-making and risk mitigation.

You will also provide expert advice on financial forecasting, payment processes, contract controls, and claims resolution.

Additionally, you will lead commercial aspects of change control, ensuring transparency and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Cash flow analysis will be conducted to support financial planning and project sustainability.

You will operate within client offices, either as part of a seconded team or embedded within a delivery model.

Depending on experience, you may have line management responsibilities within the team.

  • Deliver commercial success on large-scale infrastructure projects

  • Conduct cash flow analysis
Requirements
  • Major Project Experience: Proven track record in large-scale infrastructure, health, aviation, government, or defence projects
  • Commercial Expertise: Strong understanding of commercial frameworks, contract management, and financial controls
  • Alliance Contracting Knowledge: Experience with alliance models and collaborative delivery environments
  • Dual-Sector Insight: Exposure to both client/consultancy and contractor-side delivery
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting
  • Relevant Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent experience
