The Department of Education is the largest provider of public education in Australia, serving two-thirds of the NSW student population. As a key member of the People and Culture team, you will contribute to developing and implementing a state-wide staff wellbeing strategy, delivering innovative programs and services to support the wellbeing of all staff, enabling our students to receive a quality education.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to lead a strategic programs team that delivers high-impact health, safety, and wellbeing programs and services to support all staff working in NSW Education. As a Strategic Health and Wellbeing Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading the design, delivery, and implementation of key strategies and projects to improve the health and wellbeing of all staff across the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of high-risk projects and programs, including oversight of all project planning and delivery requirements
  • Lead and manage a team of staff to deliver key strategic programs and initiatives
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key partners
  • Monitor and evaluate all aspects of program and project implementation
  • Lead a team that understands how to analyse data and information to target programs effectively
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a related field
  • Commitment to the value of public education
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's policies and procedures, particularly those related to Aboriginal peoples
