Job Title: Child and Family Support Specialist

In this pivotal role, you will be working in a multidisciplinary team environment to provide crucial support services to vulnerable children, young people, and families affected by family violence or requiring assistance with care and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will serve as the primary point of contact, offering critical information, guidance, and conducting thorough risk assessments to inform appropriate responses.
  • You will maintain open lines of communication with partner organisations within our network.
  • You will receive regular supervision from a designated Team Leader.
Requirements:
  • A current Victorian Driver's License is mandatory.
  • A minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent professional experience.
  • Relevant cultural knowledge and lived experience can also be considered as a substitute for formal qualifications.
  • Familiarity with MARAM and Best Interests of the Child Framework is essential.
  • Prior experience in intake settings and child and family services is highly valued.
