Curry Chef Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Curry Chef to join our culinary team in a full-time role working 38 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook diverse types of Curries with authentic Indian flavors.
  2. Meet dietary requirements by preparing and cooking food accordingly.
  3. Develop menus, adjust existing dishes, and set pricing while maintaining low overhead costs.
  4. Ensure proper seasoning, garnishing, and portion control for all served dishes.
  5. Apply correct freezing and preservation techniques to extend ingredient shelf life without compromising quality.
  6. Support and train other kitchen staff members.
  7. Address and resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly.
  8. Manage stock, including ordering, rotation, and minimizing waste.
  9. Maintain high standards in food preparation, presentation, and consistency at all times.

Applicants must possess a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification) and have at least 1 year of relevant experience.
