Job Role

The Department of Health Tasmania is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Consultant to join the Rehabilitation Service Unit at the Mersey Community Hospital.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled healthcare professional to make a meaningful impact in the delivery of clinical advice, assessments and interventions based on best practice in the health care management of people requiring rehabilitation services from the multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical leadership and expertise in the delivery of high-quality patient care, assessments and interventions based on best practice in the health care management of people requiring rehabilitation services.
  • Develop and implement effective, efficient and dynamic service delivery frameworks that improve clinical outcomes and enhance the quality of life for patients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community and support groups, professional associates and other health professionals across the acute and community sectors, working collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Team.
  • Implement evidence-based practices through teaching, research, policy and protocol development, and direct example within the practice setting.
