Position Overview
The Finance Directorate is in search of a skilled professional to enhance the Research Finance team within the Corporate Budget division. This team is committed to delivering analytical and advisory financial services to both internal and external stakeholders across a diverse research portfolio.
The selected candidate will be a meticulous and organized individual with outstanding communication abilities, possessing experience in financial management support roles. You will be instrumental in overseeing and managing the financial components of research grants within CQUniversity's extensive research portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Assist in the formulation of University budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and funding regulations.

Essential Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and finance policy.
- A relevant degree coupled with practical experience; or extensive experience with specialized knowledge in technical and administrative areas.
- Experience in financial/budget management support, including the preparation of various documentation.
- Advanced proficiency in business support software, including specialized spreadsheet features and large corporate finance systems.
- Experience in researching and analyzing financial data, producing accurate reports, and developing strategies to address identified issues.
