Indigenous Justice Officer
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as an Indigenous Justice Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of Indigenous justice initiatives across Queensland.
About the Role:
You will work closely with community groups, government agencies, and other stakeholders to build relationships, foster partnerships, and support the provision of culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships, supporting program delivery, managing contractual partnerships, administering grants, preparing reports and briefings, leading conflict resolution, and supporting projects.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Indigenous justice, community development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
