Make a significant impact by working on high-profile criminal cases in Queensland's justice system Supportive, collaborative environment where you can grow and develop your legal career About the role: As a Senior Legal Officer, you'll: Prepare complex matters referred to prosecution, including appeal submissions, in a timely and professional manner Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including defence counsel, solicitors, police officers, victims, and witnesses Appear as an advocate in the District Court, Magistrates Court, and higher courts for various hearings and applications Supervise and lead legal officers and support staff to deliver high-quality legal services About you: We're looking for someone who has: Admission as a Legal Practitioner in a State or Territory of Australia Strong experience in legal practice, with the ability to provide legal advice and effectively represent clients in court Proven leadership and mentoring skills to supervise legal and support staff The ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders and manage sensitive cases, including those involving victims of crime How to apply: Submit your resume (3-4 pages recommended) and a statement (2 pages max) outlining your suitability for the role via Smart Jobs.
