About This Role

Clinical Nurse Consultant – Clinical Practice Improvement is a pivotal position within our organization, offering an exceptional opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses to lead change and elevate care in various settings.

This permanent full-time role involves leading the ongoing evaluation and improvement of clinical practices through evidence-led educational and professional development of staff, both inpatient and community.

Key responsibilities include developing and evaluating quality improvement processes, implementing evidence-based practices, and enhancing optimal patient health outcomes.

In collaboration with our team, you will contribute to periodic Accreditation processes and procedures, undertaking additional projects relevant to the role as directed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, minimum five years full-time postgraduate experience, and three years full-time equivalent in the specialty field.
  • An approved postgraduate qualification (minimum Grad Diploma/Certificate level) or evidence of working towards a Master's-level qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience in initiating and leading evidence-based nursing clinical practice development and a commitment to continuous Quality Improvement Programs.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience acting as a mentor and providing clinical supervision, individually and in groups.
