Dementia Care Professional

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dementia Care Professional to join our care team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents with dementia.

Your role will involve delivering tailored care services that cater to the individual needs of each resident. This may include assisting with daily living tasks, such as showering, grooming, and toileting, as well as providing life engagement activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including registered nurses and managers, to ensure that our residents receive comprehensive and coordinated care. Your passion for serving elderly people and making a positive difference in their lives will be invaluable in this role.

In addition to your clinical skills and experience, we require you to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and family members.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • A genuine passion for working with elderly people and individuals with dementia
  • Ability to commit to a range of shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience of person-centered care approaches
  • Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care (or equivalent qualification) would be viewed favourably
