**Dementia Care Specialist**
- Work across evening and night shifts, with 1 weekend per fortnight.
Our homes provide low and high care for residents with Dementia. Personal care is a priority showering, grooming, toileting, dressing. Domestic assistance: cooking, cleaning and laundry are also required.
- Engage with residents ensuring they are involved in activities they want to do.
- Focus on resident needs as the top priority creating a home away from home.
Responsibilities include:
- Becoming an expert on residents' wellbeing.
- Engaging with residents at every turn because every moment matters.
- Fulfilling each shift through our Mission in Action and Values.
New staff complete onsite orientation buddy shifts, and support from experienced Registered Nurses and Clinical Care Managers.
Requirements include:
- Passion for serving elderly people enabling them to live their best life.
- Flexibility to cover shifts focusing on evening coverage.
- Valuing teamwork and independence.
- Knowledge and experience of people living with Dementia.
- Cert III or IV in Aged Care, or willingness to undertake a recognised CERT III.
