About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Northcott, a leading disability service provider in NSW, ACT, and QLD. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support to customers with complex health and physical needs
  • Assisting with personal care, including bowel care, manual handling, and other health and hygiene needs
  • Undertaking household tasks, such as mealtime management, cleaning, and shopping
  • Supporting customers to develop and maintain independence

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in the disability industry (specifically support work)
  • Previous manual handling experience in the disability industry
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our unique customers
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekend and public holiday shifts
  • Current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van
  • NSW Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
